Dylan's Story
Dylan Crabb was a fun loving Cornell area teen who was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2007. He fought for two and a half years to get better, but it was not to be. Dylan's inspirational story has captured the hearts of all who knew him and may, many followers across the United States.
When Dylan was first diagnosed with Leukemia he underwent a bone marrow transplant and it appeared to be a successful operation. When he was given the opportunity to "make a wish" through a children's foundation, Dylan asked for a 33-cow dairy herd and wished to become a dairy farmer. This special
wish made local news headlines and captured the attention of numerous individuals who helped build Dylan's herd through donations. He became somewhat of a local celebrity.
When Dylan's cancer returned, a second bone marrow transplant was attempted. Local fundraisers were held and many individuals supported the Crabb family during the trying times. The family posted updates on Caring Bridge and found support from people all over the country who followed Dylan's story.
Dylan's health worsened and complications set in, just as his sister, Jayde, was set to graduate from Cornell High School. His family faced great grief and worry, but continued to be inspired by Dylan's courage and strength as he endured great suffering.
Sadly, Dylan passed away on Memorial Day, 2009.

Dylan's mom, Lori, Bruce, and sisters Morgan and Jayde have kept Dylan's dream alive by continuing to keep and care for the herd of dairy cows Dylan loved. This spring the family opened Dylan's Dairy, a retail store and cafe in Cornell where visitors can buy cheese, ice cream, farm related gifts or enjoy a great breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Dylan's Dairy is bright, cheery, and full of fun energy, just like Dylan. Visitors are sure to be inspired by the family's story and warmed by their spirit.
We look forward to meeting you at Dylan's Dairy in Cornell, Wisconsin.
